Join Informal Science Educators from throughout Southern California as we spend a day growing, learning, and networking! Engage in sessions focusing on STEM Identity and Equity in our field! Network with friends and meet new people!

Be prepared to:

  • Participate in breakout sessions facilitated by educators from a variety of informal institutions.

  • Network with other informal educators to share and develop best practices.

This program is designed for all informal science educators, from front line staff to managers. We hope to see you there!

The 4th Annual Informal Science Education Symposium will be held in the Constituent Service and Training Center, located between the California Science Center and the Natural History Musuem.

Registration is FREE and includes light refreshments and lunch. Parking in Exposition Park is available for $12, cash only. Please note that the entrance to Exposition Park Parking is located at Figueroa and 39th Streets. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is conveniently located at the USC/Expo Park Station on the Metro Expo Line. While the event starts at 8:00, the first hour of the day is reserved for check in and networking over refreshments and is flexible to allow for traffic.

Space is limited to 100 participants. Any duplicate attendees will be removed to ensure fair access to spaces.
